So I'm trying this new mean plan from
e-mealz. It's basically a weekly meal plan that you can do for under $100 a week. Music to my stomach since I spend more than that a week and still wonder whats for dinner on tuesdays. I require a plan, but moreso, I require a plan that someone smarter and with more time can do for me plan. Hence Emealz. I heard it on the Dave Ramsey Show while taking my weekly shower and it intrigued me. Looked it over and signed up that afternoon. After shopping on Sunday, I left HEB with a weeks worth of meals and a few extra goodies for me and cat food for $95.88. Mondays meal was Garlic Butter Chicken and Chips with sauteed squash with onions and mashed red potatoes. I worried that it wasn't going to be enough food because the recipe for the mashes red potatoes called for 1/2 lb red potatoes. when I measured a 1/2 of red potatoes i literally had two small golf ball size potatoes in the bag that I was supposed to mash (??). So I opted for the
Idahoan insta potato for only $0.89. SO, I start cooking and I need to crunch chips, potato chips, for the chicken. Enter Paul. He gives me this look and says "That's so redneck...crunching chips for dinner yeeeeHaw!!" Honestly...so I said, "Hey, at least I'm not pouring co-cola on the chicken and drinking
beer out a solo cup. Plus if this comes out good, then we have a good thing going here!" Sure enough, there was MORE than enough food and it came out dericious! Tonight is pecan crusted white fish, green beans and rice pilaf. Dolla dolla dolla Bill Y'ALL!!
