Of Mice and Moms

It is wrong to only want for yourself to be a mom of two boys and a good wife and a fun friend, while having a small lash business on the side? I think not. It took me this long to come to this conclusion from all the glitz and glamour that other esties seem to have and the downtown lifestyle that beckons. I went through a mild temper tantrum with my first kid mainly because it is a shock to the system, physically (i just squeezed a live human out of undercarriage) and mentally (why cant I just run to the store/mall/bathroom alone? oh yeah, him. ;-) Yet here I am, happily munching on candy corn, keeping my family fed with daily dinners, and playing trains with the not-so-wee one. Thank you God.

Baptism
The baptism of Zachary was flawless! Everything looked good and the cake was the Bomb.com. Zachary looked pimp in his Baptism wear.
And the dress? It fit like a glove. But pictures don't do it justice unless I am in complete denial of how horrible I look LOL. I think I usually am but I blame the bedroom mirror. It's the kind of mirror that makes you look so good, until some bad lighting and photo angle rips your dreams apart.I made sure that we all coordianted. Even the green embroidery in Paul's guyabera shirt matched the necklace I wore. Also, I am super glad the STY that was growing in my eye didn't come to fruition. Otherwise, I would end up looking like this:

I can't wait for Hoarders to start up again! It's one of my favorite shows behind Real Housewives and Family Guy. I am also fond of Yard Crashers, and now Bath Crashers too. (Hell yes you can come to my house and uber do my yard/bathroom!) So as I await the Publishers Clearing House van to pull up and hand me my $10,000,000 check, I will be cleaning my house so as to not have to purge it years down the road of empty coffee cups and old apple slices that have created a colony of minutiae warriors that steal my breath at night while I sleep. (reference: movie "Catseye"). Tonight is chicken Dijon YUM!

My name is Crazy; What's yours?
8:03 am: the attempt will be made to get to South Lamar to get my dress altered for Sunday's Baptism. South Lamar you say? Why of course South Lamar! Of course the farthest reaches of the planet with two kids in tow! Heading to Hope's alterations because of her experience and quick turnaround: things apparently not found in Round Rock, at least according to Yelp. So here I go as soon as ManBearPig wakes up. I hope to be home by 11am..(best laid plans...)

BUUUUZZZZZZZZZZZZ Busy as a bee day!
So Zachary's baptism is on Sunday and I made the brave decision to go to the new Cuban bakery to order a cake for the occasion. why brave? because i took the two boys with me, promising Christopher a cookie when we got there. So after a crazy playgroup, I loaded up the boys and drove to the new location off HWY 79 and tried to order the cake. However, since I don't know what i want I had to go to the OTHER location to pick it out because the Baker didn't have a book at the new location. Bought C-man a cookie and he was happy. Then noticed a few doors down there was a dry cleaners so I dropped the Baptism outfit off there, Christopher eating the big cookie the whole time and me screaming at the dry cleaner lady my contact info. Screaming because Zachary woke up and wanted boob (i'm guessing) and the general noise of the place and NEWS8 Austin playing on the TV. so we get back in the car and drive to the other bakery and I pull in right in front of a dry cleaners...next to the other bakery....sigh, oh well. Now i have to work on my leg tan so I look good in my Lilly Pulitzer dress that I envision wearing to my son's Baptism.
